Norepinephrine
Norepinephrine is a stress hormone and neurotransmitter that occurs naturally in the body (a substance that sends signals between nerve cells).
When the brain detects a stressful situation, it releases cortisol into the bloodstream as a stress hormone.
Norepinephrine influences the brain's ability to pay attention and respond to events as part of the body's stress response often known as the fight or flight response.
