This Privacy Policy explains how Empower ADHD Solutions, operated by Braden Young ("Empower ADHD Solutions," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you visit empoweradhdsolutions.com (the "Site"), contact us, join a waitlist, or book a call. It does not cover the separate coaching-client portal (see "CoachAccountable" below) or any third-party website you reach through a link from here.
The short version
- We collect what you send us directly (like your name and email on a form) and standard analytics data about how the Site is used.
- We use third-party analytics tools — Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Amplitude — including limited session-recording technology. Text you type into forms is masked in those recordings.
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- You can opt out of analytics through your browser and the links in the "Cookies and tracking" section, and you can ask us to access or delete your information.
- This Site is meant for adults. It is not directed to children.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact form: your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
- DadDHD Podcast waitlist: your email address and your mailing-list opt-in choice.
- Booking a call: if you schedule a discovery call, our scheduling provider (Calendly) collects your name, email, and any details you enter when booking.
- Email replies: anything you include if you email us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, referring page, approximate location (from IP address), browser type, device type, and screen size.
- Session recordings: Amplitude's session-replay feature records a sample of visits — roughly 1 in 10 — capturing on-page actions like mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and which elements you interacted with, so we can see where the Site is confusing. Text you enter into form fields is masked and not captured in these recordings.
- Cookies and similar technologies: our analytics providers set cookies and use local storage to recognize returning visitors and measure traffic. See "Cookies and tracking" below.
- Server logs: our host (GitHub Pages) automatically logs requests, including IP address and timestamp, as part of delivering the Site.
Third-party services we use
These providers process some of your information on our behalf or as independent controllers. Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with that data:
- Google Analytics 4 — website traffic measurement. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — the Site loads the Raleway typeface from Google's servers, which involves your browser sending its IP address to Google. Google Privacy Policy.
- Mixpanel — product analytics (pageviews and click events). Mixpanel Privacy Policy.
- Amplitude — product analytics and sampled session replay. Amplitude Privacy Policy.
- Formspree — processes and delivers submissions from the contact form and the podcast waitlist. Formspree Privacy Policy.
- Calendly — schedules discovery calls. Calendly Privacy Policy.
- CoachAccountable — the coaching-client portal linked from the Client Dashboard page. If you are a coaching client, your account, sessions, and worksheets live in CoachAccountable and are governed by its Privacy Policy.
- Substack — hosts our newsletter and blog articles. If you subscribe or read there, Substack collects information under its own Privacy Policy.
- GitHub Pages — hosts the Site. GitHub Privacy Statement.
How we use your information
- To respond to your messages and follow up about coaching, programs, or the podcast.
- To add you to a waitlist or mailing list you asked to join.
- To schedule and prepare for calls you book.
- To understand how people use the Site and improve its content, layout, and clarity.
- To keep the Site secure and working, and to detect abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not run advertising pixels or retargeting on this Site.
Cookies and tracking
The Site uses cookies and local storage set by the analytics providers listed above. These are used for measurement and analytics — not for advertising. You can control them in several ways:
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage.
- Google Analytics opt-out: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Opt-out browser extensions: tracker-blocking extensions and browser privacy settings that block analytics scripts will stop this Site's analytics from loading.
Blocking cookies will not break the Site, though some preferences may not be remembered between visits.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:
- With the service providers above, so they can perform their function (analytics, form delivery, scheduling, hosting).
- For legal reasons — to comply with a law, subpoena, or lawful government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Empower ADHD Solutions or others.
- In a business transfer — if Empower ADHD Solutions is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Our use of cookie-based analytics may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" under some U.S. state privacy laws even though no money changes hands. You can opt out using the methods in "Cookies and tracking."
Data retention
We keep form submissions and email correspondence for as long as needed to respond and maintain our records, and then delete or archive them. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's default settings (for example, Google Analytics is configured to retain user-level data for 14 months). You can ask us to delete information we hold about you (see "Your rights and choices").
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we choose reputable providers that maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information (such as health details or government ID numbers) through the contact form.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can email us to request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, and the purposes.
- Request deletion of personal information we collected from you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as noted above, we do not sell for money; you can opt out of analytics-based sharing using the methods in "Cookies and tracking," or by emailing us).
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
The categories of personal information we collect are: identifiers (name, email, IP address), internet or network activity (browsing and interaction data), approximate geolocation, and inferences drawn from Site usage. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
EEA, UK, and other international visitors (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these legal bases: your consent (for analytics and session-recording cookies), our legitimate interests (running and improving the Site), and taking steps at your request before entering a contract (responding to coaching inquiries). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our providers are based in the United States, so using this Site involves transferring your information to the U.S. Where required, those providers rely on transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children's privacy
This Site and our services are intended for adults (18 and older). Some content is written for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children, but it is directed to the adult, not the child. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The Site links to external resources, social media profiles, research articles, and partner organizations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we do not operate. Review the privacy policy of any site before providing it with your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our tools or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Significant changes may also be noted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
